Welcome to Ivanhoe Equestrian! Formerly run by my mother and myself as a successful riding school, we closed in 2017 and I now run the yard as a training facility (I do not provide horses for lessons).

I've been a BHS qualified instructor for nearly 20 years and currently hold the BHS Senior Coach in Complete Horsemanship (formerly BHSII) and UKCC3 qualifications.

I am currently a Centre 10 Foundation Coach (Applied Psychology for Equestrian Coaching) and progressing onto the Advanced course this Autumn.

In 2019 - 2020 I was proud to be accepted onto the BEF and Sport England funded "National Development Programme for Coaching Excellence".

  • BHS Senior Coach

  • UKCC 3

  • BD Judge (Trainee)

  • Pony Club Accredited Coach

  • LANTRA certification in Lorinery (bits and bitting)

  • Former BSPS and P(UK) panel judge.

There are no quick fixes or shortcuts in my sessions but building confidence, knowledge and ability from the foundations upwards through correct training using kindness and consistency in all that we do with our horses.

I am commited to providing encourging and fun training sessions that leave our horses able to understand and enjoy what we ask of them.

My "speciality" is retraining racehorses but this provides me with many learning opportunities and experiences to work with all types of horses and riders.
I have a wide range of competition experience, having produced my own horses from racing up to BE Novice and BD Elementary, as well as competing in a wide range of affiliated showing classes including sidesadde.

I am fortunate to compete a range of horses for clients in various disciplines too.

I run regular clinics in polework, gridwork and dressage test riding as well as offering private coaching at Ivanhoe. Please see the Coaching & Clinics page for diary dates.
