How much is a riding lesson?
Group riding lessons are £20 for one hour, private lessons (one person) are £20 for 30 minutes and shared private lessons (two people) are £22 for 45 minutes.When can I book a group lesson?
Group lessons are held Tuesday - Friday 5pm - 9pm for adults, and for children Saturday 12noon-5pm and Sunday 9:30am - 1:30pm.Spaces on lessons are very limited and dependant on the riders ability; and a waiting list may be in place.
We recommend a personal visit before booking.
How many people are in a group lesson?
We try to keep numbers between 4 and 6 in group lessons.Can I ride with my child or friends?
For reasons of safety, we do not mix children and adults, and are unable to accomodate riders of different abilities in the same group.Can we go for a hack?
We do not offer hacking at Ivanhoe.Occasionally small childrens leadrein classes may ride through our woodland tracks or fields, and lessons on the cross country course are availiable for suitable abilities in the summer.
Can I come and look around?
For reasons of security and safety, we do not allow people to visit the stable yard.Prospective clients are very welcome to come and watch a lesson taking place and to meet the instructors.
Any visits must be made by appointment first.
Can I choose what horse to ride?
For safety and the best education of the all horse allocations are made by the instructor.You will find that you regularly ride different horses within the bounds of your ability.
Do you take DIY liveries?
We have very limited livery services for breaking, schooling and rehabilitation liveries.All these are based around a full livery basis and we can not accomatate DIY or PART livery.
When are you open?
Ivanhoe Equestrian is open Tuesday 8am - Sunday 2pm.Although we live on site the riding school is not open outside of these times.
